As I sit here with my bowl of ice cream watching "Grey's Anatomy", I think to myself... If Merideth is Christina person, who is mine. It's simple and plain.. It's you.. Its always been you.. From the time I met you, I knew you would play an important role in my life.. Little did I know you would take a starring role and become one of the main characters. So this is my thank you.
Thank you for all the tag along trips to every doctors appointment with our kids, every grocery store trip, and all the late night ice cream trips to Walmart. Thank you for never hesitating in picking up the phone when I text you with a "Please Call Me". Thank you for listening to me whine and cry over my relationship issues. Thank you for hearing me bitch and complain about YOUR relationship issues.... And most of all, thank you for being MY PERSON.
We have fought. We have ignored each other time and time again. We have literally hated each others guts. But, time after time, you've been here. You have held me up. You make me realize that I actually mean something to this world, and that alone is the greatest thing.
I love that you make my family your family. I love that your family is my family. The amount of love you have for me and my children is unreal. I love that you get mad if I haven't responded to your messages in 5 minutes. Like right now, while you're messaging me about your shoes. But, also including that I haven't messaged you since you left my house and that is NOT okay with you. And it is adorable!
Thank you for being perfect and wonderful. You've been with me on my best days, and even love me on my worse. You know how to make me laugh when all I want to do is crawl in hole and die. You've seen me naked, helped me with my hair, and warned me before I've made horrible decisions, even if I don't listen to you. Being away from you for extended periods makes me feel incomplete. You are the piece of me that I'm not quite whole without. You are the one that has taught me that blood doesn't make family; love does.
You have helped me carry my burdens, even when your own universe was caving in around you full force. You are my truth, my strength, my will.. I love you so much more than just a friend. You are my sister. And for that, I thank you..
